Greetings
Hi, we are the twins of the collective. Wolf and Raven, and the names we chose to go by when we returned to Face's awareness connect directly to our natures. He is the host of the crew that shares his skull even if he wasn't the first one in the body. Along the way he has been diagnosed as D-NOS (ok so they said DD-NOS but we think we function quite well as a collective thank you very much) and the others in here are all aware of what is going on around the body. Doesn't mean they are precisely paying attention at all times, but they know and if a topic draws them they will come out and say hi. We have been working with each other within for around 6 years now, and we aren't done yet. we do the best to learn what we need to learn as we can, striving to be true to who we are as we do so. It doesn't always work and sometimes we mess up royally. And this goes for all of us, not jsut myself and Wolf. we are. we do as we do. the body might happen to be male but not all of us within are. one of us actively denies gender no matter how male his energy is. Sha'de's usage of 'he' being entirely due to him not liking it in the slightest and not being comfortable with how one sounds if one uses it all the time to refer to oneself. that and lacking other semi english words for gender that we can type that better fit. some of you may know us from elsewhere. and we were going to use shade as the user name except for one small (or not so small) little snag. someone got there first. but then we decided that since we would be the main ones speaking here our user name should tie into us and not sha'de. *nods and grins*

Um...welcome. That all made very little sense to me...so err...you're a multiple I assume? How many of you are in there? What/who is face? What is D-NOS? Are some of you walk-ins, are all of you walk-ins? What about the original soul that came in that body? How many of you are in there?

As you can tell...this confused me royally.

Oh, and a request. Can you try to avoid a chunk of text? I know at least I have attention span issues when text hits over 6 lines...paragraphs are for the win.

Welcome to OKP. Please remember, not everyone here is knowledgeable on multiplicity or around the plurality communities and may not know terms such as "host", "D-NOS/DD-NOS", "collective", or the names of your headmates. Could you please explain a little more?

Thanks.

Salutations

Hooray for new terminology! I'd be interested to hear what yours means as well. Also sounds like you might enjoy our multiple section on here.

Looking forward to further understanding your kinship,

What the others said- and PLEASE use capital letters at the beginning of each of your sentences. We're not a cellphone texting community here. Anyways, welcome to the site, and I hope you do well here.

Erps. Sorry about the lack of capitals and such, will try to make sure that we go over our posts and make the corrections as needed before posting. We are not always the best at explaining ourselves on the first round through and will answer the various questions (and follow ups) as need be.

Raven goes on at length, and not always concisely or to the point. Will try to remember to break things up into smaller sections but can't promise that we will always remember to do so.

Yes, we are a multiple. There are 10 of us in here all said.

Face operates as the main front. In other words if you were to meet us on the street by happenstance odds are he would be the one you would interact with first and the general public at large pretty much only ever interact directly with him.

D-NOS is us removing the word disorder from the diagnosis. DD-NOS is dissociative disorder - not otherwise specified. It is related to Multiple Personality Disorder (renamed as of the DSM-IV) and is a catch all used when a person is dissociative but does not fall into any of the other catergories. The loss or time or lack thereof is part of what the person who diagnosed us was looking at if our memory serves. We don't remember the other catergories between DD-NOS and MPD off the top of our head. I think one of them is Fugue.

As far as we know none of us are walk-ins.

Wolf

Wolf decided that I could answer the question about myself. Yes, I am still around. Although like the others I went quiet for a spell.

Ah. Calling Face the host goes back to when he was first becoming aware that there were others sharing his body with him. Underlying it at the time was a sense of ownership of the body. It was his body and he shared it with us, or hosted us. Anyways, our understanding of who and what we are happened without connections to the plurality community. (Thankfully the one counsellor we worked with at the time was also working with other multiples and was good.) However it does mean that our usage of terms may or may not perfectly match up with how they are commonly used in the plurality communities. We use collective as we are a group of individuals that more or less work together.

As to the others in here, didn't name all of them at time of posting and don't know which of them will decide to answer questions and or post things along the way.

Also in the mix are Sha'de and Carn (both vampires), BitterBeak (who sometimes portrays himself as a hedgehog), Tears, Face, Rain (aka Singer of Dark), War and Jack.
