Greetings
Salutations, fellow members

I identify as one of the Elohim, a humanoid species. My beliefs are essentially a combination of polytheism, and what one may call "Left hand Path" philosophies. I am looking forward to stimulating and productive conversation with fellow members.

Welcome <!-- sSmile --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile" /><!-- sSmile --> I'd be interested to hear more about what Elohim are to you and how you came to the conclusion that that's your kin type.

Re: Greetings
Elohim is one of the titles my people have been addressed by, here on Earth(Moreso the leaders who have/had established cults here). The root 'El/Il' referred to any deity and is tacked onto several Semitic names(Michael, Jibril, etc.) It is theorized that the original meaning may have been strong/mighty and that is how our representatives were seen to the ancient peoples. We generally appear humanoid, quite similar to tall caucasoids in many respects.. additionally we were called by other names, however I have a greater connection to the Mesopotamian crowd. I *am* of this species, just not a deity-figure.

Re: Greetings
Hmmm...one of the 'powerful he/she/they.' I read an interesting article about the etymology of that word once. It also had interesting things to say about El Shaddai that would make some modern Jews and Christians blush if they understood the translation. And to think, there's a church, temple, something down the street with that name. I wonder if they know that it means 'powerful many-breasted one?'

Oh, sorry, getting off topic here...welcome!

Re: Greetings
Well the term God in the Bible is used both male or female depending on if the word is masculine or feminine (think like in spanish).
