Graphics Contest [WINNERS!]

Everyone comfortable? Gooood.

Now, I and Kayako are here to tell you of the first contest we're holding, which includes you artists. Here at OKP, you might have noticed we need the following:

- A simple, yet eyecatching logo.
- A nice forum banner.

We've also thought about:
- Pictures for user groups/ranks.
- Otherkin smileys, to add variety to the ones we have.

The deadline is 26th January 2008.

Rules/Guidelines:
- Please make any colouring of the graphics neutral and non-kin-specific (unless you're doing the otherkin smileys). OKP is for all kin, male/female/genderless/both genders, after all!
- If you are designing a banner/logo, please don't use excessive nudity or any material that could be considered offensive.
- NO copyrighted material to be used in your work, please! Your designs have to be 100% your work.

There are later posts that state the width-height specifications (Kahoku-senpai wrote them).

We're really looking forward to seeing all your designs!

What exactly is a user group/rank picture? And also, what size does the forum banner have to be?

How and where would the rank pics be displayed? what would be a recommended size? Could you post a full list of ranks?

a rank picture is a small picture (approximately 100x20) placed between user name and avatar, which shows your rank (in many forums, only mods and admins have them). just in case you feel creative, the user ranks here are:

0 - newby
25 - truth seeker
50 - student
100 - advanced student
250 - tutor
500 - professor
1000 - master
2000 - guru

edit: forum banner size... the current one is 139x52, you can make it slightly different (wider), but not too much or it would disturb the layout.

Are you sure about that Banner size, Kahoku? It seems too small.

EDIT: Will these do for ranks? Anything I should change?

Oooh, those look purdy. If I may suggest one thing though, it would be nice if the text was a little more visible. it looks a bit blurry.

If I could get a for-sure on the font used for those, I'd like to put my hand towards doing special ranks, if that should please the court.

Alright. I could pump up the saturation and change the anti-aliasing. :3 That should make it prettier.

Deros: I think I used a free font that I downloaded somewhere...Sylvan or something like that.

hm, special ranks change very quickly. perhaps make one for all the special ranks, which says "special" or so?
