Gently down this dream
Hi! I'm Roe.

Discomfort with the word therian aside, you can consider me a cladotherian deer.I have three headmates I sometimes mention, so I might as well get them out of the way. There's Heather, who is a young humanlike girl; Leki, an older female lion lady (I'm using my own terms here); and there is Diamond, a plain human woman about my age who doesn't do anything except front second-most.

I'm interested in learning more things of other natures than those strictly therian. I am curious what else is out there, and I've already seen a couple thought provoking topics here.

So here I am, and if you have any questions, feel free to ask.

Welcome The nice thing about labels is that you don't have to use them if you don't like them. I'm curious how you concluded that you're a deer cladotherian. I'm a lioness and black tipped reef shark therian myself.

Welcome to OKP! As Sera said, you don't have to use any label you feel uncomfortable with.

If I may ask, why do you dislike the term 'therian'?

Re: Gently down this dream
@Seraphyna
I haven't settled on a specific type of deer, and have had different shifts like moose, red deer, reindeer, and white tail and such, and so I guess the term cladotherian really does apply at the moment. It's possible that I haven't found my final answer and am "undecided", but I've tried to avoid inducing shifts so I think the ones I've had are all real ones. I don't feel limited to any one category and just really simply identify as the family of deer, itself.

@elinox
I am pretty firm about the fact that I am human inside and out. There are times I even feel a bit split from my kin type. I think the word "therian" bothers me because it overlooks my identity as human. I haven't tried too hard to seek out a term, but I'd like to make sure that where terms are going to be used, it's not forgotten that I'm both, and also identify as both (beyond the obvious).

@Salaiek
Hey there!

Thanks for the welcomes.

I'm pretty sure most people who identify as therians (and otherkin for that matter) know they are physically human as well.

Granted, there's always going to be that one special snowflake who insists that they're not human, but intelligent people know differently.
