Re: Gabriel
When I think of Gabriel I recall overwhelming kindness and a fondness directed towards me. I've of course still been looking into my being an angelic as well as dragon. I always liked and appreciated gabriel cause if I needed to talk (which wasn't to often) he was always there to listen and give me the advie that I needed at the time. I know that there was a garden that I had claimed for my own and because it tended to be very out of the way I was usually alone, but when ever gabriel needed a break he would often come and just "be" there. Thats Gabriel for me

Re: Gabriel
I believe that Gabriel is a female Angel, which gives an interesting connotation to the translation of the name coming out to being "the Strength of God," but that's another path altogether.

Gabriel has been shown in more compassionate roles most often in scriptures and texts, yet there are times such as the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah that Gabriel has been capable of great feats of vengeance.

Given these factors, I would describe her as strong of character, compassionate yet thorough and vengeful when necessary.

The maximum effective range of an excuse is zero meters.

Re: Gabriel
It is possible to go through with vengeance while still being compassionate. Mass murder, torture... anything of this group. Compassion can be a part of these, as long as you hold in mind that each death-each moment of pain- really, truely mattered. I don't know scripture very well (read: I skimmed through the common knowledge stories when I was little), but I do believe that Gabriel has that kind of compassion.

Re: Gabriel
I call Gabriel "the golden one", because in my view, everything about her is like golden fire -- her hair, her eyes, her wings . . . and, of course, her heart. She is warm and gentle, though certainly she can flare up when the situation calls for it! But this isn't often at all. In fact, according to my recollections, the only angel who could ever be described as any gentler than Gabriel would have been Anael.

She's incredibly beautiful, of course . . . but I always got the sense that she was somewhat lonely, in a sense -- at least a little bit. That's what I remember of being "up there", anyway.

Re: Gabriel
Just a note from the grammar nazi, I find it odd that people who think Gabriel is female, always use the male spelling of the name.

But I remember him, the only specific angel I remember, actually. I'm not willing to say much, but it's worth a note that he's the only angel I feel comfortable around.

Re: Gabriel
I remember her quite fondly. Always treated me like a kid sister (although I'm pretty sure that's how everyone treated me most of the time ), always very friendly and welcoming. Don't get me wrong, though, she had quite a temper when the situation called for one.
I'll write more later... *infection and migrain* I'm going back to bed.

Re: Gabriel
you believe you do anyway, not to disagree or state that it is not so...

but remember, none of us know for sure, and our memories while they can shape our beliefs cannot be counted as fact. So let's just make a conscious effort to recognize memories as beliefs and possibilities.

Re: Gabriel
To me she has been distant and a little cold. Present and open but closed at the same time. But I could be wrong, or just remembering a bad day.
