FIRE?!?!
ok i know this is going to sound wierd but this is a site about things that are different from anything else. i am having a major problem invovling fire. its like violently reactive towards me. a simple little straight from store. my friend used it and gave a half inch to two inch flame. i did it got a seven inch flame. it scared the hell out of me and now i cannt stand the cold i hate it. i want it like burning up all the time. what is going on. i feel these phantom limbs. and i get very wierd cravings. mainly for someting i refuse to drink. blood. but i dont want to claim vampire because of that but there are so many otherkins that deal with blood. i just need help please if anyone can that would be greatly valued

Re: FIRE?!?!
Many lighters have an adjustment knob on it controlling how much gas is expelled (and subsequently with how much force). Getting a taller flame than someone else is really easy if that knob's used.

Have you seen a doctor about your aversion to the cold and subsequent desire to burning heat? This could be a sign of a significant health problem.

Same with a blood cravings, this can be; a) a sign of a psychological problem, b) a sign of a physical deficiency, c) a sign of energy deficiency
A and B being far more likely than C

And feeling phantom limbs can be a case of misreading physical sensations. What phantom limbs are these and how do they feel?

Don't jump on supernatural or magical or "otherkin" explanations until After you've made sure it's not something else.

Re: FIRE?!?!
Like Miniar said, there are a number of explanations you should go through before jumping into the conclusion that's something supernatural. It can even simply be a matter of physics, the same way some people have more static electricity and are constantly giving small shocks to others. I've had accidents with lighters before and I'm pretty postive those were due to my clumsiness rather than kin-type. The temperature issues and blood craving might indeed be a sign of health issues more than Otherkin. I think it's wiser not to jump into conclusions.

Re: FIRE?!?!
ATM I'm having the complete opposite sensation, longing for the cold and being overly sensitive to sun rays/fire etc.

Re: FIRE?!?!
Approaching things blow-by-blow.

-> fire a change in atmospheric conditions can cause a flame to change behaviour - oxygen deprivation can snuff a fire out, and an increase in oxygen can make a fire grow. I personally own a candle which has insane fire when it's lit - it's the only candle I own like it, and the flame constantly flickers and wriggles around. It's at least three inches high most of the time. I have no idea what causes it, but it's nothing supernatural and it's nothing to do with me. Fire is unpredictable, violent and reactive, so it's natural that it's "violently reactive" to anything, not just to you. I really don't think that this is anything. At all.

-> feeling hot/hating cold This sounds like a fever. If you went to a doctor and s/he told you that there's nothing wrong, then you could've been provided with a dud diagnosis, could've lied [how are we to know?] or could have a rotten doctor. Get a second opinion - and make sure you explain everything relating to your hot/cold issues. This has nothing to do with Otherkinism, so don't kid yourself.

-> blood have you ever noticed that vampires seem to be a literary euphemism for sex? Likewise, have you ever noticed that blood fetishism and "irl" vampirism seem to go hand-in-hand quite a lot? Also, it isn't just you finding that blood is sweet - I think that it's hella sweet, too, and it's probably supposed to taste sweet. If I were you, I wouldn't be weirded out by blood cravings. See a different psychiatrist if you're worried that there's something wrong, bring it up with a doctor [to pull a possibility out of my very unmedical ass, you could be craving blood due to needing more iron - your subconscious could be going "oh, hey"]. Lastly, don't worry about it. If you are a sanguinarian, then you're a vampire and that's groovy. If you're not a sanguinarian, then you have a craving for blood that may or may not be able to be explained, and that's equally as groovy.

Chill out.

You are not special.

Re: FIRE?!?!
First of all does fire always do strange things around you ? If so then I'd say that's a cause to think something is up , if it was just that one time then I'd also have to chalk it up to something natural .

When I put "literary" in my sentence, it made my sentence a reference to literary vampires - works of fiction. Virginity - or lack thereof - has nothing to do with vampirism.
