Effects of awakening on daily life
Today I realized very particular thought, and some of you might crucify me for it! (Just a joke )

It took me awakening, several years of soul searching, and intense magical work to became a human. By that I mean living a human life, enjoying this body's daily feelings, and a rather simple life. It may look a bit decadent from 'kin point of view, but actually it's just fun, and made me feel stronger sensations from this world, and from this body.

Kin luck as my friends and I call it. Simply put from picking up the phone to check the time, and thinking about a friend and he/she calls (several times a week) to getting interview for senior position while you applied for junior.

These two are just examples of how awakening effected me on daily basis. What are yours? (Don't write different mindset, feeling energy where ever I go, ect..)

Who am I? Playful tentacle monster originally from some other universe inhabiting high astral planes. Yea...
Take care kids, pray to me after you read my post at least 3 times, and eat your cereals! No.. seriously

Re: Effects of awakening on daily life
I've always just been me. I never had some kind of epiphany where I "woke up".

Re: Effects of awakening on daily life
True, but off topic. This topic should be on the effects of awakening, not about who awakened and who didn't .

Re: Effects of awakening on daily life
The point which you clearly missed, is that I didn't have one...so there were no effects. I've always been who I am and always felt how I do. There was no before and after, just me.

Re: Effects of awakening on daily life
I didn't miss your point, you confirmed it with your explanation . This isn't the topic about who awakened and who didn't, and if you read my opening post you will find for example something I call "kin luck" which is not connected to your mindset at all. So I'm not talking just about mindset either.

Try to think about that topic as what changes around you if not in you by being 'kin.

Just a question if you doesn't mind -> So you've always had the same mindset with none changes in behavior and self consciousness? This seems a bit interesting if you had the same "self awareness" while you were say.. 6 years old.

Re: Effects of awakening on daily life
I haven't always had a label for it, but I've always been me. I've always felt not human, I've always had phantom wings, I've always found much of being human hard to understand.

You asked how awakening affects someone on a daily basis.

I answered that it *doesn't* affect me on a daily basis because I never had an actual awakening, just always been me.

Perhaps it's not the answer you were looking for, because it doesn't make me someone who went from "normal" to thinking she was "super special non-human" overnight...but it's a perfectly valid answer all the same.

With that out of the way...
Awakening didn't change the fundamental parts that which are me, but it did give me a better understanding there of.
Mind you, I do not like the term awakening as I didn't have any form of epiphany or sudden and profound change. No, the closest thing I had to that was learning the word "otherkin" and realizing that there was a possibility that my personal experiences and beliefs fell in that category.

I have not gained any form of supernatural ability of any kind and I sincerely doubt anyone ever has. The example of kin luck given by the OP is impossible for me to take too literally. I check my time on the phone often due to having a poor internal clock. I think about friends and family near constantly on some level.
So it's happened quite a few times that I've picked up the phone after/while thinking of dad only to find it ringing in my hand. But, this doesn't happen every time I pick up the phone to check the time.
In fact, it doesn't happen every other time either.
It may feel like it happens "often" since it happens about once a week or so, possibly less, but I pick up my phone to check the time at least once an hour. There are 168 hours in a week, I sleep on average 8 hours a night but also, when I'm stressed, which is rather often, I check my phone around 4 times an hour, probably more, so rounding that up there's probably over 170 times in total that I pick up my phone. This means that this doesn't "actually" happen often, it happens very very rarely, or "approximately" once every 170 times I look at the phone, at most.
Looking at the facts of how many times this happens to me, respectively, allows me to realize that it's a coincidence and nothing more, one that I'm sure a bunch of other people have experienced.

Now, I'm sure the first thing you want to do is tell me that your stats differ, but here's the thing. It's impossible for me to know whether you even know your stats, so... yeah...

I've looked at pretty much all the "weird stuff" I've experienced and gone through the work of looking for how it "really" works.
There are some things I haven't explained yet, but just because I can't explain it doesn't mean it's "magic".
I do choose to believe that some of the things I "do" are affected by my being otherkin, but these things didn't change by me discovering that I was kin. I believe that I'm a reincarnated being, which means I've had all the components since birth. Figuring myself out didn't change what I am, and thus hasn't change what supernatural effect, if any, I have on myself or my surroundings.

Re: Effects of awakening on daily life
Seraphyna, that what you describe is perfectly normal even with some non awakened 'kin who are a bit self aware. By awakening I mean conscious knowledge of yourself, heaving memories, techniques, change in mindset, and for some alterations in energy system for example.

If you always know you felt not human, felt your phantom wings, and didn't understand human nature, that doesn't mean you are fully awakened even though you spent years in this state. By this I'm trying to say that having knowledge of being kin, and working on it for years doesn't mean you are not going to awaken "more" in the future.

We are getting too far from the original topic, and it might be good to separate it into new semi-philosophical topic with name for example "What does it mean awakening" if there isn't one.

To the point: It has been always you, but you can compare yourself to some other kin/non-kin you know a lot, right?

@Miniar

Sorry for that, I didn't notice that I was breaking the rules. I've asked a specific question, and felt that Seraphyna failed to understand my main point, and I probably hers .

Well that phone thingie was just an example anyone can relate to. It was always two way with more than one person (two in fact), and didn't happen just when I checked the time, but for example when I was going to call that person. And happened.. phew.. 6 - 8 times a week with these two. (Happened from my side to them, and from theirs to me)
