Dimmu Borgir
Official site:

www[dot]dimmu-borgir[dot]com

Dimmu Borgir is one of the biggest black metal bands out of Iceland (and one of my personal favorites). Dimmu Borgir blends a soothing black metal feel with classical flair and lyrics heavily influenced by Satanism to form a solid, unique sound that can be a little frightening (or exhilarating depending on your taste Wink).

Dimmu Borgir is:

Shagrath: Vocals; bass; sythesizer; drums;
Silenoz: Guitar; lyrics
ICS Vortex: Bass; backing vocals
Galder: Lead guitar
Mustis: Sythesizer/Piano; guitar; quenaflutes; pan flute; violin; drums; harmonica

check 'em out and tell me what you think Wink

*evil grin* wouldn't you like to know

Re: Dimmu Borgir
I love Shagrath's voice. If I could go see them live, I would.

But I always miss their effing shows. T_T

Man, actually, I heard "March of Mephisto" by Kamelot and it had Shagrath doing vocals on it... and I was like, "DIMMU FTW."

It was freaking fantastic.

Oh, and I <3 the little alludes to them on Metalocalypse.

"Hello, welcome to Dimmu Burger" XD

Re: Dimmu Borgir
Dimmu Borgir is actually from Norway, still an awesome band though. You all might like Old Mans Child as well, they sound quite a bit like Dimmu Borgir (except without live orchestras), and last I checked Galder was also guitarist for them.

Re: Dimmu Borgir
Well, a few friends of mine have been to 2 Dimmu Borgir shows in the past couple years.
Houston owns when it comes to concerts: we're almost guaranteed to have awesome metal bands here. <3

Re: Dimmu Borgir
St Louis has actually been better about having good concerts lately. Dimmu Borgir came around last year or so and Nightwish is supposed to be coming by on their tour.

I had no idea that was intentional. When I saw that, I thought "Wow, that sounds a lot like..." and wondered if they ever heard of the band.

Har har I feel stupid.

That, and in the episode where they have to shop for groceries and cook for themselves, the supermarket's called "Fintrolls"
Guess who they're referencing with THAT. I just caught that one last night on Adult Swim lmao.
