Different realms and bodies
I was just wondering if anyone who feels they were energy beings have memories from multiple different realms and/or bodies as well as being incorporeal? Like inhabiting physical forms on occasion for shiggles or just to learn about being that species? Does anyone feel they were forced into the human form they are in now? I'm leaning toward something like this to explain a lot of the memories I have (traveling from one form in one realm or universe to another, and possibly having been forced into my current body), but I'd like to hear some other experiences, especially because I don't really have memories from in-between.

Anything you all are willing to share I'd love to hear. And have a happy and safe winter celebration season. <!-- sBig Grin --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_biggrin.gif" alt=":D" title="Very Happy" /><!-- sBig Grin -->

Sorry if this is a bit vague.

I can remember floating around, everything is dark/foggy, I'm really not sure at the moment, will post more soon.

Re: Different realms and bodies
I don't have any past life memories, etc, but I think that I came into being as a kind of conglomerate of different beings - pieces of each that became 'attached' over time, until enough pieces were present to make a 'whole'.

Nope - as far as I'm aware, I might not even have existed prior to this life anyway. If I did, I don't recall other periods of (brief or length) incarnation.

I speculate that my "other half" (the other shadow in my multiple system) had several periods of fleshiness, possibly on different worlds, possibly without having an entire (birth -> aging -> death) physical life there . . . but that's speculation based on ideas and very fragmentory memories. If that was the case, it wasn't so much incarnating for fun of any kind - it was incarnating from an inability to work out how to exist as a shadow. I think.

His first physical life might have been "for the craic" (Northern Irish for "for the lulz"!), but as far as I know, only that one.

I have no recollections prior to this life. As such, one of my current "best guesses" is that my consciousness began with this life; any existence I might have had prior to consciousness I don't really consider to be me anyway. Another of my "best guesses" suggests that I'm here for a specific reason, but if I can use an absolutely terrible analogy, it was something fairly similar to Jimmy Smits adopting the baby Princess Leia - "Gotta put her somewhere, looks safe enough over there . . ."

To be "forced" into human form implies to me something either unnatural, or something done against one's will. Even if I was deliberately put here, it was when I was so young that I didn't have any will anyway . . . and so I wasn't forced, no more than an adopted baby is forced to leave its genetic family.

By in-between, do you mean some kind of energy realm that might be your home? If you have no memories from there from the past, have you ever managed to visit in this life?

Re: Different realms and bodies
I think the closest I can come to something like "home" was very dark, but otherwise much like Earth. I don't think it could exist in our 'verse simply because the brightest it got there would be equivalent to a full moon evening here and it was generally darker. So it shouldn't have been warm enough to have life, or at least nothing like on Earth. It might have been something similar to "Faery" in the myths, a physical place in some sense, but with its own rules.

I've never really felt comfortable in this body, as in aside from being focused on something else I've had a pretty continuous dull, physical ache, and a general feeling of being in the wrong place. Not that I know what the "right place" was, but I know that this form isn't it. Since I've felt aware that I was kin as early as I was aware of myself (around 2 years if not earlier), I'm pretty sure I was at least partially aware before I came here, and the only feeling or thought I get from that is "I was forced here by something or someone else."

I understand I could be imagining that. I could just feel that being human doesn't suit me after all, so my mind made up that I was force here, validating that I don't have to like it here, or even to dislike it here. But I was a pretty optimistic and upbeat child and I still felt that way pretty early on. I see no reason for me to have liked my life for the most part at that time, but still feel that I was forced into it if I hadn't been in some form.

So if I am an energy being of some sort, and there is some realm of energy I could call home, I don't remember it and have never been there. And if I was forced into this realm by something, I don't think it would be good to go back if I could.

I don't really remember anything before this lifetime round, what I do "remember" is of this plane and planet, assuming it's all not some figment of my imagination. I don't remember being incorporeal, and I think it might have been very boring if I did remember it. I don't feel as if I was forced into this life. I enjoy being human. Yes, large parts of my life have sucked but I take it as part of the life. Sometimes I wish I could be what I feel I am on the inside but it's a fleeting feeling because if I was I wouldn't have the life I have [which I rather enjoy currently].

Re: Different realms and bodies
Short answer: I do not recall traveling to other worlds/realms/etc and remain skeptical if it is possible for energy beings to typically traverse in such a way – especially becoming physical.

I do not feel forced into my body – I find it comfortable and enjoy it. Speaking generally, I think that energy beings have an easier time incarnating/reincarnating/whatever in physical bodies than other physical beings.

I find this interesting, and it seems like a lot of otherkin do the same thing – assuming that the way they perceive (ed) their environment was how it was for all beings within the same environment. Physical senses form our perceptions and craft the memory; I imagine a reincarnated ant, human and eagle would all remember the planet Earth differently.

I've actually wondered something similar but opposite: How much of what we "remember" (for those of us that do) is based more on how we perceive things now than how they actually were? For my own example, did I actually have a sense of sight in that life, or did I have a sense that my brain now tries to reinterpret as sight? But assuming what I "saw" was really "seen" (and I wasn't a species adapted to near absolute zero), then the planet was amazingly warm for how dark it was.

I do get glimpses (imagined or memory) of having a non-corporal existence while having a lot of power.

I know one thing that irritates me is having god mode in a game, it makes things too easy and without a feeling of accomplishment. A feeling of existing rather than living basically. Corporeal bodies have limits, but it is limitations and barriers that makes accomplishing tasks feel emotionally satisfying, making one feel alive rather than just existing.

Take that for what little it's worth.

For people who remember being an intelligent form of smell . . . not a lot. For people who remember life on an Earth like planet where they did human like things in human like bodies? A lllllot more.
