"Compelling" and hierarchies and family structure and posse
'Eyyyy.

Just figured I'd pop in. I have been being exposed secondhand to "Lost Girl" and "Grimm", which I think gave my mind a little too much to play with.

I just wanted to let people know, too, that just because I'm posting in the Demon subforum, that doesn't mean that I only want Demons to respond. It's just a topicality thing, with me.

Anyhow, this word, "compelled." I felt compelled to post an image without a watermark, tonight, but then I started thinking about the phraseology and my on-again off-again relationship with the idea that I'm in the post of a Creator for the spirits to work through me. Then I started thinking about the idea of "compelling" or causing a Demon to do what you want, and how (in what I know of Ceremonial Magick) you can only do so by pretending to be higher up on that Demon's hierarchy. Then that started me thinking about my own spirits and what would happen if someone tried to imitate one of them to get me to do work that was not anything I was meant to be doing, and how I would feel about that...

Reciprocal Empathy??? I don't think that's a thing, but I'll just throw it out there, anyway.

And am I in a hierarchy? Interesting question. If so, I only know the grand scheme, some of the beings closest to me, and the energy highest up there at the top of whatever tree I happen to be on...which is not necessarily the same energy that some of the beings closest to me have as their highest energies.

I'm not making sense, am I...

As a Creator, Life energy is my highest...well, perhaps ultimate ...master? I don't know what to call it.
But with some of the beings near me, for example the one I've called Bell, he's closer to Mind energy, not Life. I probably wouldn't have figured this out without doing an art project on it in Creative Process class, which got me thinking about my visions.
With Rose, Beauty is what she follows.
With Blaze, it's Protection, wishing for Peace but willing to wage war to get it. (yes, I know it's problematic.)
Those are the three main ones, though there's also Codi, who is associated with Learning, and Sparrow, who's associated with Joy, and Gryph...whose only alliance I can see is to what I'd call Darkness -- not in the way we've found it represented in our own thoughts, but in a different, elemental sense: like Destruction, but restrained. And then there is Mist, who is somehow tied into Water and/or Light. (All three of the visions I dug up on this forum had to do with Water and Light -- not just Water or just Light.)

I feel like all of us (I'm saying "all of us" because in the time I've been away, I've somewhat reconciled the internal/external problem of "are they my imagination or are they outside of me," somehow along the lines of "Mind is the foundation of consciousness; internal or external, we're all sourced from the same thing, so the internal should not be called 'unreal") -- all of us come from different "home" energies, but we work together toward some end, in some sort of organization. Family (physical family) is also part of that organization, though it is a different system...which brings together different incarnate spirits (who may be somehow close) with different discarnate posse; all the posse may then also have their own "home" energies.

I do not know what the end I'm working toward is, but this gives me a reason to exist, so I play along. I know that diversity and acceptance are up there as things I value, also nurturing growth of life and cheering on the little weeds and endangered flowers and stuff. I only have a little bit of knowledge of hierarchies, as well; I never got into Solomonic magic, and though the Dukante hierarchy is more appealing, it's more stuff to learn from than to mess with. (Those spirits are from a different family's hierarchy, not mine -- I already have my own spirits, and don't need to buy into another family's spirits.)

And, question arises as to whether the "posse" come with the family or if the family is incidental. I don't know how far back this stuff is or is not planned out; if circumstances of birth are planned or by chance.

Yeah, I've been avoiding this line of thought because of the ridiculousness (though not impossible ridiculousness) about "hunters" and the people who would be all like "you're crazy" and stuff. I need a job too, just like non-otherkin, yes?

Anyhow, was just wondering if just plainly having a spiritual mission at all makes one a Demon. I don't know. And I've been at this computer for far too long and my back is tightening up, so I'll get offline, now...
