Can people see "it"?
I was wondering if any of you have had experiences where some people see or seem to notice your otherkinness. I know that several members of the Werelist have had experiences where children will notice them and say something like "look Mommy, a doggie!" or "look Daddy, a kitty!" when the animal person isn't showing any outward signs of their theriotype (wearing t-shirts, jewelry, a tail, etc.) and so I was wondering if Otherkin had similar experiences in being noticed for what they are.
I myself have experienced children taking special interest in me, usually just by watching and staring at me as if I'm different and they like that I stand out. I've noticed that people in public places seem to notice me (and sometimes openly stare) even though I try to be as inconspicuous as possible. I haven't ever had anyone (child or adult) openly call me a "wolfie" or even a "doggie" but I don't normally outwardly project my wolfish nature (or aura/energy/whatever you call it) so I don't know if the two are related or not. Normally, I'm just me: neither entirely wolf nor entirely human but a mixture of both.
And this is not to say that it's just a normal occurance of people noticing and staring at you. Obviously in some cases, it's merely a coincidence or easily explained by normal circumstances (as could very easily be the case with my own experiences). I was just wondering if anyone here had any experiences where people seem to pick up on them being Otherkin.
