Breath Weapon
It’s a common skill many dragons seem to have possessed. Did you have one? If so, what was it?

Thus far I’ve come across (either from myths or other dragonkin) Fire, Ice, Venom, Poisonous gas, Mist, and (to my surprise) lightening.

I’m your generic fire breather.
Well, technically I released a flammable gas that would ignite upon leaving my mouth. But same difference.

Re: Breath Weapon
Actual breath weapons are extremely draining for me, but saliva conversion is fun.

Re: Breath Weapon
None here either, though I have pondered us either spitting on things, having puffing neck glands for display, or if we were maybe a teeny bit venemous (a la spitting cobra). I do know that the area right behind our jaw puffed up when I was angry or alarmed, I'm just not sure what it was for.

Re: Breath Weapon
if i state my idea, could some dragons have a breath that would be like breathing fear ? So strongly it would cause something like death from fear (in medical terminology it would be die from a shock situation). <!-- sBig Grin --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_biggrin.gif" alt=":D" title="Very Happy" /><!-- sBig Grin --> i know its somehow eh.

Re: Breath Weapon
I know how to cast a forbidding, but I wouldn't actually BREATH it out... Seems like a bit of a pointless thing to me.

Ragiel Wrote:if i state my idea, could some dragons have a breath that would be like breathing fear ? ).

Fear is more induced from the mere presence of a dragon that is capable of causing such threw sheer power and presence alone. So it’s not so much breathed out as simply emanating and affecting those who can be susceptible to such things (the degree correlating with the targets will and bravado/stupidity).

Though if a person did have a fear of fire, then I guess that could be said.

Just as some can die of fright (example: heart attack), the fright brought on by a dragon can possible cause such a death. Though I don’t believe this can happen to just anyone.

Re: Breath Weapon
Since my kin are spiritual in nature and magickal I don't think they have such things as breath weapons. But, it seems they are distinguished by the various elements so, perhaps they possess traits of their element...appear to be on fire or to breathe fire...etc.. Or maybe they appear that way for our benefit.

I always frost breath would be sweet to have though!

Re: Breath Weapon
Something akin to fire... more like a small fireball.

For some reason, anytime it ever came up in a dream or memory, it would collide with the target like a glob and "stick"... it makes me think of napalm, ick. >.<

Re: Breath Weapon
I think I had something along the lines of a lightning bite. Pretty much I could generate an electrical current in my mouth strong enough to stun prey by clicking my teeth together hard.

It just makes me wonder how the hell a body could generate a current strong enough to do that without causign damange to itself, but appereantly we could and did.
