Black Magic
Ok, since my other thread was locked I will start a new one. I am calmed down now, sorry for getting everyone upset. I will explain what I believe black magic is.

I see all energies as having their own color. Any energy that I use has a color. When I am angry the energy looks red and purple. When I'm sad it looks blue. etc. And when I work magic, it looks black. That is why I call it black magic.

Re: Black Magic
Black magic usually has the connotation of negative effects, "witchcraft," "Devil's work" or any other medley of terms.

Using the words, "Black Magic" to discuss what you are doing is a bad decision really. Most communities will view it as these out-dated folklore inspired tails that are nothing but detriments to their own growth.

Magic by itself really comes down to the terms of energy manipulation and use. If I were you, I would try and find a better term for what you do, you will find opposition anywhere you use the term which has a very different meaning from the one you wish to convey.

Re: Black Magic
But it is literally black in color.

Re: Black Magic
People have a tendency many times to see colors to their energy workings, how many people have you heard discuss their practice of "yellow magic?"

That claim would get equally as much flame as claiming to do "black magic." Most communities and practitioners will tell you, Magic has no color that defines it.

Re: Black Magic
It is my personal belief that my magic is defined by color, since it always has been.

Re: Black Magic
However the words you use are not appropriate. Black Magic has a very different meaning from what you are saying.

This is why we strive so hard to define and use the correct words.

Re: Black Magic
There is a thing called energy manipulation, that sounds like it is what you are doing.

Re: Black Magic
Magic itself has no color, only the intention given it by the worker. Energy in general has only the color you perceive in it, or the intentions the user of said energy has given it. What may appear black to you could be hot pink to someone else.

Re: Black Magic
Really? That's strange, so someone might think of pure hate as being hot pink?
