Re: ...At the risk of sounding lame, but...
Actually, I'm an old "gamer" of the rp sort. Even trying to set up a tabletop game up here.
I prefer tabletop, pen and paper, RP. The roll of the dice and the cunning of the DM pitted against the wit of the players and their ability to play the characters they created.
Ofcourse I suffer from evil-dm-syndrome and can't help but to crack up and chuckle a "sucks to be you" at the person that failed at survival.

I have dabbled in forum freeflow as well as IRC freeflow and IRC with dice-bots. Played a Vtm Malkavian for a while who suffered from paranoid delusions and was bipolar. He was very suggestable and yet had moments where he could appear perfectly normal. He had some OCD tendencies just to round it all up. Was one of my favorite characters to play.

^^

Re: ...At the risk of sounding lame, but...
I played D&D for a while, but I left the group a few months ago... Wait, it was a year ago. Wow, does time not exist anymore. I wish they'd let me back.. Ah, well. I could still quote the rulebook at you and correct everything you did wrong, including rules on grappling, hah. I'm a nerd.

Laughter for laughter let him return
And falsehood for lies.”

Re: ...At the risk of sounding lame, but...
I love roleplay. I story roleplay near-obsessively, and the only reason why I've never gotten into D&D is that I'm not enough of a social person to get a group to play with.

I love to role play, everything from over the next to tabletop games. I play d and d every week with some friends.

I'm a role player, yes. Mostly star wars if it's online anywhere... if not online, then I like a little tabletop, though there's never anyone around me who's interested.

Re: ...At the risk of sounding lame, but...
I meant more like forums and freeforms online rather than tabletop....it just ain't the same without all being at the same table (especially for an evil DM....to savour the faces of the PCs when they 'accidentally' summon a balor in the tavern....I see you evil DM *shakes fist*).

Would anyone be interested in getting an rp going amongst us though? I think it would be fun. *shrugs*

*smiles as dozens of personas goes through his mind* I'm up for it. Just give me the setting and the limits, and I'm in.

Re: ...At the risk of sounding lame, but...
I totally want to play. =D

I'm an avid roleplayer. I've played over 10 tabletop chronicles, 2 LARPS, and dozens and dozens of forum-based ones.

What game would we play? =D
