What other animalistic demons are there than Rakshasas?

Re: Animalistic demons?
Rakshasa aren't really that "animalistic" if you think about it.
Or perhaps it's better to ask, What do you mean by "animalistic"?

Re: Animalistic demons?
My companion, who is a demon, is a horse (well looks like one) he started out as an imp but stuff happened to where he was able to grow in power and ability and he grew into a horse form. Every now and again he can shift from that form into a more dragonish form, but he prefers his horsie persona.

A Kitsune is a fox SPIRIT not a demon. Demon in Japanese is merely called an "akuma" or "oni" or "Mononoke". Tanuki and Kitsune are more spirits than demons.

Re: Animalistic demons?
I'll explain a little more:

I often see myself in meditations as a lion. I even behave like a lion, and I often question if there is A. mental therianthropy there too, or B. I'm just a demon who's very much like an animal. I've been seeing this for a few years now.

Now, I also seem to have phantom limbs, a lion tail, wings, and horns. I've felt them, and multiple people have seemingly randomly sensed them.

I also feel I'm fairly polymorphic, but most demons probably are.

Perhaps you aren't demon persay, but rather a completely different race/species that might not be mentioned in human mythology Then again, there might be some species of demons that we don't know about with more animal forms, I don't see why not

*evil grin* wouldn't you like to know

Re: Animalistic demons?
I suppose Hell Hound could be seen as an Animalistic Demon... from what I remember there are others of a younger relation that are more four legged, I was more two legged homid myself as well as the others of my race.

*cringes* yeah I've had run ins with hell hounds, not fun encounters I must say. That was a bit of a long time ago though. Either way don't mess with hell hounds, especially not when you have tasty, tasty wings....

Re: Animalistic demons?
Rakshasa could be animalistic, I usually use the term "feral" to describe that part of us, because animalistic ties us to animals, and it is an individual's choice about appearing like an animal, or not. My forms are often based on animals, and yet a Brother prefers more abstract "Oh look at me, I'm a cloud of blade and fire".

A lot of Demons in classical QBLHistic texts are animalistic. Partly, or wholly animal in form...then again, you pick up the Goetia and you'll find demons that look like lots of things.

As we grow all things are external.
As we learn all things are internal.
As we understand all things are not.
