Rakshasa could be animalistic, I usually use the term "feral" to describe that part of us, because animalistic ties us to animals, and it is an individual's choice about appearing like an animal, or not. My forms are often based on animals, and yet a Brother prefers more abstract "Oh look at me, I'm a cloud of blade and fire".
A lot of Demons in classical QBLHistic texts are animalistic. Partly, or wholly animal in form...then again, you pick up the Goetia and you'll find demons that look like lots of things.
When we first begin all things simply are.
As we grow all things are external.
As we learn all things are internal.
As we understand all things are not.
