Angels and animals
This isn't quite the thread you might guess from the sbuject line.

I am an angel. I am not a therian. Yet there have been times in the past I felt a deep seated image of myself being a tiger. Other times I see myself as a hawk or eagle, or maybe I see hawk because I feel claiming to have an eagle side of me seems boastful.

Many will probably look at all and wonder how I can be so sure I'm not therian. I guess my reasoning is, it just doesn't feel right. My wokring theory is that certain celestial beings are deeply connected to animals to the point those animals become totems, or symbols, oh the kind of personality they have.

Lately I've been working on acceptng myself as I am, so instead of two animals I see them merged like a winged tiger.

I'm just wondering, anyone else feel this way?

Re: Angels and animals
Is it possible that tiger and hawk/eagle are just totems for you? How do you think they relate to you being angelic?

Re: Angels and animals
I would swear I've posed as one or the other for charges. In a way being a totem for others. In other peoples dreams I've been seen as a tiger I've been told.

Re: Angels and animals
I've heard that angels take the form of whatever creature will help with their mission best. Perhaps tiger and hawk/eagle just work for you? Although, I agree in that it doesn't sound like therianthropy.

Re: Angels and animals
From my own experience: I have a deep relationship to the Condor. Years this spirit appeared as a Condor. But sometimes it shows itself either as human or even as energetic being, an angel indeed. Today I know that appearance lies in the eye of the beholder, especially in the spirits-world.

If some people really see angels where others see only empty space, let them paint the angels. (John Ruskin, 1819 - 1900, english critic and writer)

Re: Angels and animals
Well, who would have thought angels would prefer birds. lol I'm just being sarcastic. In all seriousness, avians are often thought to transend this world.

Re: Angels and animals
There are many angels that take animal shape, i'm sure.
I've heard and talked with one that does change into a leopard.
Cameal. I called to him when I was in 9th grade or so.

Been with me ever since. He did send a leopard spirit once when he could not be there himself.
Was quite interesting.

I now have a snow leopard that stays with me along with the wolves.

Re: Angels and animals
Considering I rarely get visuals of myself or anything else, I can't say that I have seen myself as an animal. However, I do have a very powerful love of animals- anyone who read what was going on with my cats when we moved would know that!- and they respond to me. I've never been bitten by an animal- living in an area where there are lots of stray dogs makes that noteworthy- and I've never had a hard time getting to know one. *shrug* I don't know if it's being angelic per say, but my brother and I joke that we inherited the 'animal speak' nature from our 'druid' father. As angels are simply a form of energy, it's possible that they take on whatever form suits their current mission, or to best speak to whoever they need to bear a message to.
