Angelic powers
I've been struggling for a while with what to call what we use as angels. My thoughts really stumble when I try to call it magic. I know we all can do different things, across a wide range of supernatural acts. The question on my mind is what is the closest thing to call it.

Re: Angelic powers
I think it was less of "abilities" per se and more of channeling the power of the source to complete what ever task we were given.

Re: Angelic powers
Sounds like magic to me. Channeled energy to effect changes, yep, magic.

Re: Angelic powers
I don't know, it may be just me but magic feels like the wrong word.

Re: Angelic powers
I have to agree with Ver. Words like "magic" and "miracles" (a word that occured to me) have a lot less meaning now than they used to. Now, both of those things are words for things that we can't explain, although any half-competent practitioner of energy manipulation has a pretty good idea what they're doing. Abilities sounds right to me. Even if you channel the energy from a higher power, it's still you working with the energy.

Re: Angelic powers
I typically say abilities in reference to anything that involves the projection/release of energy and 'assessments'...for anything that is the 'bringing-in' or perceiving of energy (ie clairvoyance etc). "Magic" (or magick) doesn't bother me...the words i rebuke are powers and supernatural.

fade in now into ambiguity, what once mere intangible now my senses align...rather do i myself lose, or is lost the world?

Re: Angelic powers
But abilities I think attributes too much to individuals. I would prefer somehting that would feel more unifying and not sound hokey. But that's all based on my own perception of the word.

Re: Angelic powers
Well, while human, attributes are rather individual...being that they're only collective in an unfathomable sense. Perhaps task, ordinance, blessing, gift, working, purpose, or merely referring to one's self as a catalyst...is more along the "unifying" lines...but in a true 'universal' method....such is semantics.
